Dalla galleria al coro: tesori e memoria del monastero

IT: La galleria che conduce al coro ospita oggi una raccolta di argenti di varie epoche, provenienti da diverse chiese del territorio, in particolare dal tesoro della Chiesa Madre.Ad accompagnare il visitatore lungo il percorso vi sono due tele legate alla tradizione francescana, alla quale apparteneva l’antico monastero dei Riformati: esse raffigurano San Francesco e San Bonaventura. 

Proseguendo, subito dopo il coro, si accede alla biblioteca conventuale, che conserva ciò che resta dell’antico patrimonio librario del monastero, che conserva libri centenari. In questo ambiente, grazie a recenti interventi di restauro, è emerso anche un frammento di pittura muraria in cui si intravede la figura di un frate.

EN: The gallery leading to the choir currently houses a collection of silverware from various eras, originating from different churches in the area, particularly from the treasury of the Mother Church. Accompanying visitors along the path are two paintings linked to the Franciscan tradition, to which the ancient Monastery of the Reformed (Riformati) belonged: they depict Saint Francis and Saint Bonaventure.

Continuing just past the choir, you enter the convent library, which preserves what remains of the monastery's ancient book heritage, including centuries-old volumes. In this room, thanks to recent restoration work, a fragment of a mural painting has also emerged, in which the figure of a friar can be glimpsed.
